Hello, my name is Ludovica Severi and I am a goldsmith.

In my workshop, I design and create handmade jewelry, one piece at a time, following a mindful and personal approach to goldsmithing.

Severiana Gens is the name of my brand.

It comes from my surname, Severi, and evokes the idea of gens: a family, a lineage, a collection of stories and connections intertwined over time. Severiana Gens represents the desire to create jewelry that isn't just an object, but a symbol of belonging, memory, and continuity.

It is also a tribute to my grandfather, who was the first to believe in my creativity. When I was a teenager, he gave me some duplicate ancient coins from his collection and told me to create something with them, recognizing my need to express myself through making.

It was from that gesture that I began to imagine metal as a material to be transformed and to tell stories.

Politecnico di Milano

I graduated in Architectural Design from Politecnico di Milano, Mantua Campus.

This path provided me with a rigorous design methodology and a keen eye for proportions, materials, and the relationship between form and body. This is where my approach to jewelry originates: as a project even before it is an ornament.

Sacred Art School

I trained at the Sacred Art School in Florence, specializing in goldsmithing. During the summer, I return to the same school as a teacher for workshops dedicated to international students, guiding them in discovering techniques and artisan work in the laboratory.

Workshop

Over the years, I have deepened my training by participating in workshops in Europe and the UK, to refine my technique and broaden my approach to design and metalworking.

Venturiani Jewelry

In addition to my laboratory work, I collaborate with the Venturi Institute and the Chamber of Commerce of Modena as a teacher for PCTO (Transversal Skills and Orientation Pathways) courses, with the aim of introducing students to the world of goldsmithing and artisanal work.

My work philosophy

I mainly work on custom-made projects and small collections, directly managing every phase: from design to final creation, using artisan techniques and selected materials.

In my relationship with those who choose my jewelry, it's important to me that every choice is a conscious one: understanding what is being created, with what materials, and why. Guiding this process is part of my job, because I believe that the value of a piece of jewelry also lies in knowing what you are wearing.

Courses and Workshops

The laboratory is also a meeting place, where courses, workshops and shared experiences are born. Here I guide people in creating with their own hands, taking the time necessary to understand the process and the material.

Whether it's an engagement ring, a piece of jewelry for an anniversary, or an experience in the lab, my approach remains the same: listening, dialogue, and attention to detail.
